Often, I get asked, in my 'real' job, what I actually 'make'. Its hard to describe to peeps. I mean I cut up and stick down pretty paper but its so much more than that. I guess you have to be sentimental to actually understand why I do it. Before you can understand what I do.

If I hadn't of experienced loss so early in life, would I be scrapbooking. I would like to think I would. It just probably wouldn't be as heartfelt as it is right now. Just lately, i've been talking to my middle sister about life. Loss. How things have turned out. How i'm not sure you get life until you experience loss. Thats kinda sad. 'You never know what you had, til it was gone'. So true.

So, thats what I make. Memories. Feelings. not just pretty paper and sparkles. They are just the decoration. Bit like putting on your make up. You're still the same underneath. You just feel better and for me (I look better ;) ) with a bit of slap on!

So i've been making this: This cute sprayed LO of Benji. Gems, stars, stamping, spraying... yum!

Time ~ where does it go?

It seems lately I spend my whole time chasing my tail ;)

September is the busiest ever month for us at home. We have Ben turning 5 and starting schoolio and Emily is starting year 2 and turning 7. My middle sisters three children celebrate their birthdays, another niece and nephew celebrate birthdays too! It seems September is the month when I need a money tree :D

Also, along with Benji starting schoolio, Kev goes off back to school/work. It means the whole balance we had going on for the last six weeks ends and its back to mumma doing kiddos, house, dog, work etc... I honestly loose my mind in September.

We are off to Legoland and a hotel stop over for the weekend of Em's birthday :) So we have that to look forward to as a family, amongst the birthdays and fun.

I have Ally Pally with Marion and Jayne to look forward to right at the end of September :) With Sugar and Spice! *Squee* I'm ever so excited by this. I love just getting away and although its tiring on the feet, I think we spend the whole time laughing. I am looking forward to it so much. Since leaving the shop, I miss the chatter and fun. Marion is now, on QVC! A superstar. Much better than Dawn Bibby ;) and i'm not quiet sure how she is doing it. I thought my life was busy!

I am still working hard with my jewellery Made by Polly, and am adding more and more pieces to my range, slowly but surely. I am selling lots. It has been through word of mouth and those of you who have brought. Thank you very much. Your lovely comments make me so happy.

I have designed this double pendant, which has Em and Benji's prints on but I recently did for a married couple. How cute is that! It had the date inscribed on the back :) It was so sweet to hear about their wedding and him giving her this pendant as a gift. Truly heart melting :D

These weenie babies are just super cute! They are perfect for a little gift for a bracelet or necklace for someone who doesn't want such a chunky charm. Or perfect for a little miss who wants to feel grown-up and special. They hang great individually or seperately and I can't make them quick enough! I can't complain ;)

Howdy-doo everyone!

A big thank you to Clare who alerted me to my previous posts (now deleted...) you can guess what they were about! :S I'm getting narked with it all, it seems no matter how many times I change my passwords/email account; they hack it! RAH ;)

In other news, i'm still working mega hard. Stressful but rewarding. I got three compliments today, which is very unusual. Normally its all moany old ladies (and gents). Today, I achieved alot, got complimented and laughed when a colleague fell off her chair. (She laughed too, so it was ok!).

In other news: I've had problems with a store in the US called Scrappy Land. Don't use them! :( I ordered a heap of *SMASH stuff from them (have you seen it... its fab! But it arrived half missing and damaged. I am fighting for my paypal refund right now. As you can imagine, i've had pretty grim email responses from them. Don't use them. Its not worth the hastle!

I have GOOD news though from this lady here, she has got me a new little design job...! With QVC :) whoo hoo! So I have made a few samples for 3 new kits/products coming up... Not sure when but they are bits you will 'need'.

I have been making lots too, I just haven't been photographing it... as now I am such a bad blogger. I am just hooked on Twitter and Instagram. Its just much more friendly and straight away ;) I shall try and attempt blogging again. I did love my blog so much a few years ago. I'm not sure why I lost the love for it all. I'm sure it has a direct link with work though and time.

Well, I'm not good at keeping up with this blogging lark am I?
Work has been hellish, we have had a swap round in the office and it's not going well. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold it all in before I explode!! I have had a few arguements already and it's just stressful ;)
Anyhow. In four and a half weeks.... It's the GoGoGetaway!! Yay! I'm so excited. I thought I needed a break last year :) but this... !

Where does time go? It seems all I do is chase my tail lately!! :)

I have had three lovely kits delivered though - Noel Mignon, Studio Calico and Scrapagogo... Each of them amazing!

I have also been making :) I'm not sure how these pictures will turn out as I'm posting from my iPhone but here goes: !

This was a mixture of Studio Calico goodies, new and old. I used my new jenni bowlin ink pads too... You do NEED them!!

I used loads of primarni jewellery on this one. I just broke it up... The large pink flower was from a £2 bracelet that had about 8 of these babies on there :)

Off to a craft fair in Braintree on Saturday, that's after working 06:30 til 10:30... Can't say I'm enjoying work but i'm grateful to have a job, two girls got made redundant today :(

Where have I been...

I guess you've all left me, seens as I haven't posted for like an age :( Life here has been busier than ever. I am still making though :D
I was told before Christmas that I would no longer have my job come March the 31st, as they have deemed it cheaper for a call centre to do my job... I'm sure they'll want to be helping old ladies get their jim-jams on at near on midnight ;) Still, they know best *ahem* and so I had that nonsense to deal with. Luckily, I was offered a part time job there in the day, so I am now getting Benji childminded for two hours a day to make it possibly. Its not the exact way that I wanted it to happen but I needed a job, so needs must!
So, I have been working 3 jobs, although for only one place -its driving me mad! I am so tired. The past four weeks, i've worked 28 days. Yes! Everyday each week. Luckily, I have managed to give up most of my out of hours :) and so that will ease my day job and my supervisior role. I might even manage some time for scrapping!
So far this year, scrapping has taken a back seat and i've made only two layouts. I'm hoping now my hours are reducing and i'm adjusting to being back at work in the day and having to get myself and two kiddos ready for work and schoolio!
I'm hoping that now we're into February and the house is in alittle more order... I spent the whole day cleaning today! My one day off and I scrubbed all day. Each of my babies are sleeping in gleaming rooms with cosy, freshly made beds tonight :) From now on i'm hoping life will slow down.... please!?!!

The weather isn't looking too great, I have workio later but I had a job interview yesterday - it's unsuitable, I think as only a 6 mth contract but it's all good experience and I've been making!!

I used this studio calico range for a LO that is summing me up right now...

Blurry happiness :D

It's all sunny here. I am loving the sunshine, the fact that the back door is open for the kiddos and dog to run in and out as they please. Even though Em isn't doing much running right now, she has chicken pox. Yes. She is awfully spotty. Luckily she isn't scratching too much.

I've been busy working and trying to fit in everything and everyone. You know how it goes when you have kiddos. Just busy. Joan is still pretty poorly, I'm turning 30 this week, Em's off school, the dog is just being doggy, Kev is back to work... life is just happening!!

We are all though, enjoying the extremely sunny weather :) I hope you are too.

Firstly, i'll show you this. It's on my phone atm and is created with my favourite-est app. Hipstamatic. I think i've brought all of the lenses, films, flashes etc to go with it. I love that old, polaroidy type piccie it creates. Truly beautiful.

Secondly, i'm still here. I'm just incredibly busy. I am stopping the shop though :( Joan is so poorly and really the final straw was on mothers day Kev could not go and visit her as he had to have the kiddos and they had colds. She really can't get anything atm as it'll affect her chemo and that will be bad news :( Also now that Ems at school we actually hardly get any quality time together... its making me sad and our how family just not work together and I have to think about them first and foremost.

Thirdly, I have just about recovered from Ally Pally. Yes, it was incredibly busy on the Saturday and incredibly hot on the Sunday! I didn't buy alot really, a few stamps (which I promised myself I wouldn't but they were the cheap snag 'ems so I felt able too!), a donna downey prima apron and some melody ross overlays! *YUM* and all thanks to June for spotting thoses babies! Although Ally is hard work, its extra rewarding with the thank you's, the nattering and just hearing the excitement the majority of peeps there share for paper ;) Also the fact you get to see the coolest jewellery, the funkiest bags and the best shoes. Paual Pascal had the cutest dog and cat pumps going :) I loved them!

So its my last Sunday at the shop this week, I am finishing around lunch time. I'm sure there will be a few tears. I hope my class goes well as its my last.... :S

On the L/C front, its all go as always. I was out til gone midnight last night finishing up some mistake that had been made. Thankfully not getting shouted at. I got my first ever apology phone call this morn too. I have just about recovered ;) And as bad as it does get there. Its still all good. I still really enjoy being there. Dealing with it, sorting it out, problem solving. Ok, I don't enjoy being shouted at but I do like to feel that I am helping. That I am trying to make a difference.

Fourthly (as I went off on a tangent slightly...) I enjoyed the GoGo Getaway SOOOOO much. I cannot tell you how bloomin' exciting it was. How great the classes were and how much I just loved it all. It was fab. I particularly loved this girl here. Her two classes were super cool. She is the most inspirational person for me at the mo. And to top it off she sounds like shes Stacey (from Gavin and Stacey) which is ubber cute.

Fifthly... have I made anything?? Lots. Honest. Just no pictures. I have two brand new kits waiting for me. A huge stack of new papers from work and I have zero mojo right now. But I did have. I have made heaps. I just filled a whole new american crafts album. So maybe I oughta take a snap and share???

Ok, so here I am again. I'm not sure what i'm meant to say anymore, so i'm gonna waffle on and then sign off ;) Here's a cute pic of Betty...!

I am feeling v.lucky at the mo, as yesterday we had sky HD fitted (with every single channel imaginable) and I got my iphone delivered by hand by some pretty kind guy :D What a shame I was working and had to wait until gone 9pm to play with it!! I finally just got my apps all sorted and stuff... but :( I lost my game of bookworm.... I was on level 54!!!!!!! and I lost my wheres wally game too. I know they are on my touch still but seens as i'm gonna whack that on ebay it'll all be gone. So let it be a record here... I got to level 54 on bookworm and I was still going!! :)

Another busy week at work this week... It's my short week when I work just Wednesday night but i'm going in early for my appraisal. Not sure how well it will go :/ Although I think it should go bloomin fab seens as I dealt with a huge abuse case last week... :( This has been adding to my stresses really. I will be glad when all of that is over and done. TBH the only thing that is keeping me going is the fact that 1) I'm not at work on Saturday!! and 2) Its not long til the Gogo getaway now. THAT last fact is getting me through everything atm :D

Today, has already been filled with lots of phone calls... don't you just hate waiting in queues with crabby music? God, I am moaning! Thats what Southern Electric will do for you! My account is in credit, we have changed energy supplier and STILL I am waiting for my refund... :RAH: I have been waiting since the 5th of February. Not good.

I had to cancel Emily's speech therapy session (yes, her school have told me she has speech issues)... hmmm. Not so sure but hey ho, we'll go and see. Purely because Joan is having chemo on that day and so it means Gramps cannot come and watch Benji.

I have scrapped. Honest. I just haven't taken any pics of it. I may just take some with my iphone and then tweet them. I love twitter :) *wub* Its gotta be my fave and best app ever. I love reading random tweets, seeing random pics and just writing nonsense. Maybe thats why my blogging has suffered. I'm pollyscraps over there if you wanna see what I have to say... ;)

I can't quiet believe I haven't blogged for so long. Well, ok I can. What can I say? I've been busy. I have been working hard, which has been very stressful this week, I have been making sure the kiddos are ok, school, holidays, tears etc..., Joan is still pretty poorly and is starting chemo again next week :( , I have taken on more shifts at work which means alot of juggling and me feeling more tired! and you know life has just been happening!!

Em on Crimbo morning, I can't remember what she'd just opened but she was happy :)

I can't say that over Crimbo I was overly creative... I didn't make anything really. I just worked! And its only been the last week that i've actually made stuff :) It has made me happy! I did move all of my craft stuff downstairs after deciding being shut up stairs wasn't for me... I struggled and moved it all on my own. It still looks in alittle chaos but I am using it much, much more. I nearly know where everything is ;)

I have the Go-go retreat coming up at the end of March too... I can't explain how excited I am :D I am soooooo excited and i'm already planning my photographs I want to take, papers, embellies etc... basically as much as I can damn well carry really! I am just looking forward to some me time with no work stress, no home stress, just doing what the hell I want to do and not having to think about anyone else! Sounds selfish, maybe but I think I need a bit of a break. I have got all my first choice classes :) And am particularly excited about the Helen Miles classes. I'm hoping for whimsy!!

We have a new edition to our family - Betty!! Yes a little pup-dog! I went and picked her up on December the 27th. She is pretty cute but chewing everything at the mo.... Her favourite chomps are lego men, playmobil pieces and cuddly toys. We also lost Nibbles, he sadly passed away in January... :( Emily was devastated. He had been poorly though for a while, so maybe it was for the best. R.I.P Nibbles.

And this one... well just alittle something to make you laugh... Emily got these in a party bag but it was Ben and me who actually enjoyed them the most!

Here it is. The pumpkin parade. Emily has watched this at least a million times since we got back. Ok, slight exaggeration but nearly a million times. I have started a mini dedicated to Halloween Disney using the heaps of fancy pants halloween stuff I have. I am bagging it up to take to PJ crop with me. When I get some me time! :D yay!

I had my first day back at L/C tonight. I am so pleased Ann is back. I missed Ann very much the two weeks she was away while she was in hospital. Ann is just the funniest. Tonight was nice and simple. I like nights like that there. Although, they are very few. Simple and easy nights remind me of how much I do love being there.

I have making to share but I have not had to photograph it yet. I will, at some point this week/weekend. I am working in the shop on Saturday and Sunday... and hoping that by having Saturday night off I will be less tired!

As for the rest of my week... I have a whole heap of housework to catch up on. A huge stack of ironing. Upstairs looks like it doesn't even know what a hoover is. I have washing to do. Lots of it. I have cleaning to do. I am not sure how to fit it all in with popping back and forward to school all day long (or so it feels!) I am hoping for no more rain until at least Saturday, so as I do not get wet on the schoolio runs. On Tuesday I managed to get wet 6 times. Yes, even with an umbrella. Being wet does make me miserable :(

And then I need to plan what i'm taking to PJ crop :D I have no idea yet. I hate planning ahead but I cannot take everything. I also need to order photos and print some too.

Lots to do and so little time.

We spent the end of October here... in Disneyland Paris! The kiddos had the best time. In fact we all had a great time. We stayed in a very clean and big appartment in Val d'europe which I would reccommend to anyone. It had a huge shopping centre and was only a two minute train ride to the park.
Emily was just amazed by it all. Ben loved it too... and kept shouting mickey mouse! It was just so great that it was halloween and everywhere was decked with orange pumpkins! Peeps dressed as pumpkins and spooky halloween music :)

This was probably one of the cutest pics of Em we had taken with Jasmine, whom she now loves!!
And this mouse (and her boyfriend) who both gave Em a kiss!! This was Minnie just swooping in for one. I think Emily has told everyone she knows time and time again that she got a kiss from Mickey and Minnie :D

This, needs editing as the sun was pretty bright, the weather was amazing and actually we needn't of even took our coats! Donald poked all the dads bums with his fork if they looked miserable. Hence why Kev has that strange grin...

I got this while I was waiting for Em and Kev who were on the haunted mansion ride. Which Em hated. She is such a scardey cat. The chipmunks were mine and Ben's favourites. So cheeky and so bloomin cute.

Thought I oughta be in a few photos, despite looking h-u-g-e. And Em refused to stand by the 'scary' men pumpkins on her own.

But she would stand with these dressed up lady ones. Esp. because they gave her a packet of haribo jellies :D

So we had a fab halloween. Em thinks we will be going back again next time we have a holiday! She loved it. Ben loved it. Kev has the coolest video of the pumpkin parade but i'm not sure how to add it onto here...??

In other news: (this maybe ranty!) and random)

I am re-evaluating my life right now. It seems I never have a minute to spend with everyone all together. Kev walks in from work and I walk out. The weekends he is home and i'm at work. Em is at school all day and so I hardly see her. We have alot of family issues right now with Kevs mum being ill and i'm not sure that at the moment I am putting us first. I'm not sure how it can carry on. Besides that I am just so tired of trying to fit in everything. It is near on impossible right now. So alittle readjusting might be needed. I'm not sure what is happening but I know I cannot keep doing more and more. I am already struggling and stressing to do everything.

Inappropriate comments. Is it me or are some peeps just plain rude! I am sure, maybe I am way to sensitive about some things. But it seems lately I just want to rant about some peeps ideas, comments and how narrow and small minded they can be. RAH! On the upside I am loving the use of twitter to rant. It is a great medium to get it off your chest :D

The rain. Why is it that it always rains at school drop off or pick up time? Is that the weather law?

I need crafty space advice. I think I need to move my expedits downstairs but am unsure. How do you store your craft stuff in them. (currently mine is sectioned into whole sheets of paper/card, scraps, paints mists etc, chipboard, stickers, etc...) The never ending question for the best scrapping stuff storage solution is here again. Help!

Why is it I am always so tired. Seriously. Although the answer maybe above. That I am stretching myself too far.

But on the upside!!! It is actually not that long until the March GoGo Getaway...! I am getting excited :) Time out to relax, scrap and have no stresses! I shall be saving alot of my Studes kits to take with me to use. And I have already made a little mini to jot down all the things I think I defo want to take with me. It's now less than 5 months away :)

And lastly... I seem to have solved the problem with the viagra posts :D There is some debate from where it came from but it seems ok now. Hooray!

That Monday Feeling :

It's Monday. It means lots of things to me. Mainly a whole heap of catching up on all the things that have not been done over the weekend. I am on the second load of washing at 8:30am. I have taken three phone calls from work. Countless texts some from friends, work and other randomness. I have tidied the weekend away. Monday is the catch up day.

So here is alittle catch up too. I made this a while ago. I got all these cosmo goodies from here. She is super speedy at sending stuff out, which I love!

The pearls were from here. Those prima 'e' range goodies are to die for. I think I have them in nearly every colour! I have enough gems and pearls to last me forever! The ribbon, stickers and everything else came from one or another Studio Calico kit... :D

So today i'm off on catch up.

In other news: (I like that little saying, I read it on someones facebook status and it made me smile) I am meant to be posting on the Sugar and Spice blog... however I can't. Marion has deleted the blog due to our random posts :/ Hopefully now mine will stop too. I am sick of my blog being hacked. So I am not sure when my project over there will be up :(

This is my treat to me each month. This kit. The feeling I get each month opening up this box! Ripping open the brown paper bags, I used to try to gently peel the stickers off and save the bags but I just have ended up with too many; so now I just tear them! I thought I needed a LO to explain how much these boxes of goodness mean :D

In other news:

We went out last night, after my shift at L/C. I drank way too much white wine. I still feel rather 'squiffy' and am glad to know it's Emma tonight on tv and I can curl up and watch it in bed. I might attempt alittle making but i'm not sure much will be done. The night was to remember Paul, who has been gone for a year now. It just seems much longer. It was lovely to see Kerry, Leanna, Ben and Scott. It was hillarious to hear that baby Ruby had called Ben 'monkey-boy' earlier that day. It was great to actually do some weekend stuff on the weekend. Thank you to Kevy for driving and letting me have a few too many wines ;)

I also am in this months Scrapbook magazine! Yay! I am hosting the £10 budget challenge. I am so chuffed that peeps have been popping into the shop, texting me, e.mailing and calling to say that they had seen me in there! Whoooo hoo!! (too many exclamation marks but i'm excited)

I also saw the lovely Shaulean in SI this month too :) If you're reading this hun... I loved the LO. It was fabby.

Right. Must go get Ben ready for bed, my pjs on, kiddos into bed and then flop. Self inflicted I know but very worth it.

Damn hackers.

I can assure you that porn is not usually on the agenda of this blog... I promise. It seems that the Sugar and Spice blog was hacked and from that mine too... i'm not sure if any of the other girls got hacked but the post I found this morning was pretty weird!! ;)

Well, just to prove I am actually a scrapbooker and not some exotic porno star, you can see the LO I did for Sugar and Spice below.... I used the most gorgeous paper from Cosmo Cricket and those lovely wooden making memories letters, along with Marion's stamps *wub*.

Other than that.... i've been working, sleeping and eating (well, we have to eat don't we ;)) I haven't been making much really. (other than a mess) Luckily though we have our passports back and are ready to go to Euro disney! Yay! Emily is sooo excited. I however, am thinking now about four or so hours getting there with Benji!, him in a normal bed! and just containing him in general :D I think it will be fun *the type with gritted teeth*

Kev's mum is pretty poorly at the mo and she started chemo last week. I'm not sure when life is taking us all at the mo. Last week we had Ben and Em's birthdays, both started pre-school and big school!, Em lost two teeth, Joan got diagnosed with cancer and started chemo, Kev started back to work, my work called me in for an emergency meeting as we have been taken over and altogether life is hectic. I am just in a crazy kind of limbo.
I'm in that pretty cross, annoyed, rah stage. That maybe I shouldn't share on here. Maybe this should be a happy and fluffy place but I have to vent! This is putting life into perspective and how maybe I need to re-evaluate how life is going right now.

And to prove i've totally lost it, i've been making cards! Yes, seriously. Although my SC kit came on Thursday and I did attempt to start a LO, which is sitting upstairs now... unfinished.

Life at the mo seems like one huge to do list.

So I will try to catch up with piccies next week...

So, since I have been away from blog-land for a long while. I have a few bits to share. The majority of these were created well before my hectic work schedule began. Well, ok this one was made the other night with my new box of SC goodies :)

Super Furry Animal

I have been feeling like a hamster of late. Meaning that I have been working non-stop and thats about it. It's always the same, every holiday, I go all out and work all I can. It means that blogging, crafting and any other activity apart from eating and sleeping are really out of my life for six or so weeks. It's coming to an end ;) Mixed feelings really. I like the 'stress', the motivation, I hate the no mojo, no time, tiredness, hardly seeing anyone, the rushing out of the house at some ungodly hour of the morning, feeling like I have a phone taped to my ear (!)... but I love the company and I will love my pay cheque in September...

...it will pay for Disneyland Paris, which we are taking the kids to in October! Emily is sooooooo excited. Ben is excited but unsure why. He just chases her round screaming disney :D So we have that to look forward to. Seems like it will be fun.

And just because I haven't been making, doesn't mean I haven't been buying. I have! I have had three magnificent Studio Calico kits arrive in the time i've been away (ok, maybe just two... i'm unsure) And of course the new stuff is starting to hit the shop!! MLS is gorgeous... I have yet to use it though.

We are having a time with my MIL, she is really quiet poorly and so we are all awaiting test results. She goes in for a biopsy tomorrow and fingers, toes and any other limb is crossed for her.

Emily also is eager to start 'big' school! She starts on the 9th and she cannot wait. We have enough school-i-form to sink a ship, including what seems like the most expensive pair of childrens shoes ever ;) I am mixed about it all. My first bubba starting school! She has loved the four taster sessions though and all of her pre-school friends are there... so I know she will be fine. It's just bringing it home even more that she is growing up and isn't my baby anymore. I know a lot of you are having this right now... I feel for you all! And Ben starts pre-school two mornings a week too! OMG! I will have 4.5 hours to myself each week! No doubt it will be filled with ironing, tidying, cleaning... etc... But all mine! :)

Sassafras stickers can be made to look less 'sticker-ish' with abit of 3d foam tape and buttons...

An old photo but I love this one. It's so much more than a beach photo. It was taken just before Ben was born. I was heavily preg and it was a sweltering summer... I lived in a blue and brown patterned cotton skirt to keep me cool... And this was taken on our last trip to MIL caravan before they sold it... So much more than a beach pic. :)

After watching alittle bit of Glasto and hearing alittle about Louise's tickets to see this band... I have been listening to them non-stop on my ipod. Lily Allen has taken a backseat.

From around 1994 to around 1999... I loved this band and in particular this blokie. hmmm. He still looks pretty darn cool now. I am kinda thinking I maybe need to re-live my music mini and add in a few more cool moments from years ago.

And it's left me wondering does Ainley's music store in Leicester still exist??

It's so sunny here. And I mean SUNNY. I think yesterday was 32 in the shade and the day before even hotter. I am not wanting to complain but I do not enjoy the heat. It makes me tired, lazy and just wanting to veg out. Consequently I have not ironed as yet this week... the pile is growing and growing. I am guessing it may take me an hour later on to conquer it :(

I had some extremly good news yesterday but it's all alittle *hush-hush* yet! Well, I think I ought to keep it schtum for a while. Its very good though, well I thought so... Kev was little more disappointed as he thought we had won the lottery :D No, I haven't.

I have been also working on my Donna Downey fabric album which I got a couple of kits back from Studio Calico. I decided on a forum suggestion over here, to make a button rainbow and stitch it onto the front cover. Now the rainbow is finished, it looks fabulous!! I love it. It jingles, it tinkles and rattles. It has also made me realised I have w-a-y too many buttons but it was hard work. That cover is made of stern stuff. In the end I stitched it on some left over cotton I had and then tacked it on with blue embroidery thread. The sewing looks untidy but its supposed to have that overall handstitched appeal. I wanted to wunderweb it on but had no idea how too with a whole heap of buttons already on there, maybe thats where I should've foreplanned and wunderwebbed the cotton on first and then stiched the buttons on. Still, the plan is starting to come together. There is no doubt that this months SC kit will be here before I have finished this album!

Our obssessions this week:
Kev - he has his new joystick thingie and has been on it every night this week. He is out tonight for a haircut though so I may have the downstairs tv to myself!
Emily- she is loving Ella. The cute little girl from over the road :)
Ben - he is loving the waybulloo's! he love yojojo ;)
Me- I am loving the fact I have so many crafty projects on the go and in two weeks, this Friday my sister will be here to stay... and that Emily soon breaks up from school, along with Kev...! Good times at the mo, even though it is alittle too hot for my liking :)

It seems that my LOs are a mixture of allsorts of late. I mean, a mixture of photos that are new and old, and a mixture of kits/stash buys. This one was mainly from Studio Calico but alittle of Sarahs cards thrown in...(the little maya road velvet flower)

I am loving grey at the moment. And I love this American Craft paper which I had been saying for that LO. I think it goes well with the navy in the picture and the navy lacey/crocheted ribbon. I also love that thicker font too!

Eyelets!! OMG! A blast from the past. I alcohol inked them, kinda! :/ and added my rocket stamp I got from Ally Pally. I hadn't even got them out of the packet :( until now. And they were in a long line but I chopped them up so they are now six individual rockets.

It's documenting my new-ish now, trainers complete with rockets, robots and multi coloured star eyelets!

I love trees! (and houses) and loved making this one, adding gems and cutting out grass...

I used my sugar and spice stamps on this one and used the 'i' from the word with which I masked off so I could stamp the phrase 'I just love you'. I love that font too :D

This LO actually made me have a little tear when I took the picture. I spent every weekend getting drunk in this pub from the age of 15... I played pool here, I had an unhealthy obssession with a blokie called Mick Greaves here (LMAO), I threw up here (yes, I was young, and it was literally by that little brick wall you see), I wore my C & A (remember that store?!) clockhouse Jarvis Cocker stylee cardi here for the first time. I was sad to see that it had changed its name to 'The Boathouse' even though its a beautifully idylic pub by the river Soar, complete with narrow boats of all colours and pretty field views... for me, it will always be 'The Riverside'.

I never really talk about my dad. Not that I really call him that. I have very few photos of him and although I don't want to look at him, he does not deserve any attention of mine I am curious still. This photo was taken at my eldest sisters wedding, about six months before we moved from our family home. I wanted to document that even though I try to not let my past affect me now. It does.

And look how pleased Kevy is! He just got his new gaming joystick thingie for his xbox. He didn't expect it to arrive yesterday and when it did he was happy :D He played til gone midnight last night...

Also my dresses have arrived for Anthonys wedding do. Hooray, I think I like one defo, the other I am waiting to see once my Gok, suck you in underwear arrives...

Emily has taken to watching Mickey Mouse on Youtube. She asks everyday, while Ben is content with anything really... Kev fed him his tea the other night while Pocoyo was playing; in Spanish. He was very contented... these were the piccies that followed.

Too busy watching, no time for kissing!! Looking a rather hot and sweaty little boy who is in desperate need of a haircut :D Know anyone with the patience of a saint???

I am busy preping for my journo'ing class... I need to print out all of the handouts... in fact one huge long one :) Just tweaking now in between picking Emily up from old school, making lunch for Benji and me and blogging. Right, back to it!

I have had a busy morning! Tuesday now seem to be the day that me and the kiddos 'do stuff'. Today, I really didn't fancy the beach so I decided we'd nip over to Barleylands. I was incredibly brave and just had Benji on his 'leash' (ok, wrist strap) and went to take something back to the shop, pick something up and I got talked into going into the farm. Benji loves the chickens. He is very, very fond of chickens and is getting a slight obsession for them. We also had a long bounce on the bounce pillow and then the trampoline and a play in the sand pit; along with feeding every animal we could... including a very friendly chipmunk :)
Benji screamed the whole walk back to the car when it was time to go home... I'm sure if you had your windows open in Billericay or Wickford, you would've heard him. And then the looks start. It makes me kinda cross because he is two (ok, three in September) just because he looks big, he is still little and he is quiet abit behind Emily in his developement, whether that be 'second child syndrome'/ the fact he's a boy and alot lazier/ or whatever. I just feel like saying 'quit looking, he's having a tantrum, he will get over it!!' Anyhoo, we had a fabby morning/afternoon. :D

Yesterday... I managed to make these few:

This was taken on our meal after Ally Pally on the Saturday night, after walking around for a good half an hour for somewhere suitable. This place was gorgeous inside, built in an old pump house with beautifully tiled walls, ceilings and arches. The meal was pretty good too :)

This has made me all giddy!! ~ Martha Stewart train punches!!! OMG! I just really needed this (and I also got the EK Sucess dino one too!!) It punches perfectly, which surprised me as it is such a weenie and delicate punch. I love it! I feel lots of train cards and LOs coming on.

No picture as yet as I need a suitable one with the kiddos and the copious amounts of brio we own. I might add little photos in the train window too... not sure. I just needed to use the punch!

And this documents my time at L/C. I covered the bottom pic as i'm not sure if its breaching confidentiallity showing a no booked carer to the whole of the blogging world. I'm guessing it probably would. Note Ann's plate that sits at my desk... the 'round tuit' which took me ages to get the joke but now I think its really funny. I sat down on Saturday night when i'd finished my late shift at L/C (around 10pm) and started on these. I must have been in the company of my mojo that night as I managed 4 LOs. Yes, 4!

I used mainly cosmo on this one, all from my last month SC kit apart from the blackboard which was from a kit a long way back. It just fitted in nicely though...

How cool is this chipboard toast and toaster??!! Oh, I love them! And it's apt for the fact that Ben's favourite food is toast. With butter or cheese... anyway it comes he'll eat it :)

This one is alittle odd, maybe. I took these pics when I last went up to see my sister and went over the the cemetary to put some flowers there for mum and everyone else. Its hard to think it's been over 7 years now since she died. It seems sometimes like it was just yesterday and then others like she hasn't been around for much longer than 7 years.

This one is about documenting the journey back home which between 2000 and 2004 I did at least once every week sometimes 2/3 times. From London/Essex/Cambridge to Leicestershire/Derbyshire. I love driving and miss these times when I used to drive along with the radio up and clear my head.

I had a fairly lighter weekend of work with only doing one shift on Saturday, I am slightly ever so sad to find that one of my colleagues there has taken on a co-ordinator role and so will not be working out of hours any more :( Jodie, I will miss you!

Normal service has been resumed at home, meaning its only me who bothers with washing, ironing, tidying, hoovering and other household jobs. Including rectifying shopping mistakes! I am not happy about this. In fact i'm pretty narked off. And currently i'm re-washing clothes that have been sat in the machine since Saturday night :(

My Sarah's cards kit came on Saturday morning too, I haven't really looked at it properly. I'm not sure that this months is really me. I am debating on cancelling it. Hmm. Decisions.

Today is Emilys second session at 'Big School'! She is so excited :D Oughta go and make lunch for her and Benji before she has to go.

Studio Calico Scrappiness :D

I feel as if this month my Studio Calico kit has been slightly neglected. It was never meant to be that way... it's just I wanted to catch up with some projects and finish up some too... and tidy up alittle before I got more out (remember that? I still tell my kiddos that but it seems no one listens, even me!) So I hadn't really gotten round to looking in this gorgeous box of yumminess until last night.

Thursdays are ideal scrappy nights, kiddos to bed... supper eaten and then I sculk off upstairs and shut myself away with The Mentalist and my supplies. I had also printed off 11 pages of photographs so I had plenty of subject matter to scrap. This was a piccie I manage to get off my phone earlier in the week...

And I didn't think i'd ever find a use for this stamp included in one of the add ons this month but actually I did and I loved it. There stamps are just so kitsch!

I am also loving all the collage press goodies in the kit too, esp. these journo'ing spots. I love using them together, some flat, some on foam and journo'ing on them all in one big lot. :)

A LO documenting the fact that Ben is a 'Roberts' through and through. I occasionally see alittle of Kev/Lucas' in him but more often than not he is just so much like my side of the family.

This photo called to be scrapped with brown, seens as his face and hands were covered in chocolate! And the apt title... not alot of thought but he was so happy!

I used this wooden token (actually for 10% off) from the previous months kit. Cheating? Maybe. Along with the cool 12" x 12" rub ons, which I have never seen this make before, why??? They are super-de-dooper!

And a little cosmo. It would be rude not to, wouldn't it?

This one, I used a stamp set i've had for a while now. Since last August infact when I went to demo at Fidgeons. I thought i'd use them all the time but tbh i'd actually forgot I had them! That is when you know that you ought to stop buying stamps!!

Again, those cute rub ons. Although i'm not entirely sure about this LO. You know maybe because it's so plain and simple that I feel it's not me. The photos are abit wacky though, as it's near on impossible to get two small kids and one dad on a trampoline to actually stay still/look the right way for a photo. We nearly managed it. Nearly.

I have alot of other stuff to do today, including some ironing. Not much though seens as i've finally caught up with the ironing mountain that was taking over our room. I feel quiet smug about that fact. I love being on top of the laundry as its my least favourite household job.

And the random fact of today is that Northern Uproar have an appreciation group on facebook. Seriously. I just had to join. Memories of a wild youth. :D

I have no work until tomorrow evening :) So tonight, no doubt will be a late night scrapping extravaganza! Whooo hoo! I do have a whole heap of prep work to be getting on with though... and of course next week normal service resumes on the working front.

Ok, I have managed a big fat ZERO on the housework front. But I finished two DT pieces for here... One of these will be shown on the 3rd of July and the second on the 19th... so all is good this morning.

We had a fabby meeting last night, it was great to all catch up and meet Louise, whom I have heard alot about (all good!) and of course hear Marion doing her heavy breathing crafter :D Nina was excited as she is off to Glasto next week and has even brought her tasch!!! We want pics ;)

I have my first journo'ing class a week on Sunday, which is fully booked! I am now getting alittle apprehensive about this seriously. *quake* I want to do it justice and make sure that everyone goes away happy and able to journo whatever they please. I am still bringing together a pretty hefty hand out which will cover everything I hope to talk about and of course it means that you can refer to it at home/crop/where ever. It also gives a heap of ideas on ways to journal. I am pretty excited about that bit :D

Right now though, i'm going to crack on with some twiddley loveliness...

This was us yesterday. We spent a good few hours at the beach. It seems that generally we are all very happy here. And yes, his hair does need cutting desperately... I try and put it off for as long as possible as it is so hard to do. Seriously I have thought about just shaving the lot off but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Here's to hoping he's in a good mood tomorrow and will sit still long enough!

That's Emily right out there... searching for crabs and anything else she can find. She loves it best when the tides in but its far too early for us to get there or far too late... I might try and take her down early on saturday morning as i'm not working until later and let her enjoy the sea alittle more.

And then we took a long walk along the beach... It really is a beautiful place there. It's not all sandy white beaches but I love the open, the breeze, the boats and the fact the kiddos really run around and enjoy themselves. Emily has also taken to collecting shells and she enjoys finding the really cute pretty pink periwinkle ones.

Today, Emily has returned back to 'old-school' which was much to her disgust. Ben and I are at home doing laundry, tidying up, doing puzzles and general sorting! Tonight I am out over to Sugar and Spice for a DT meeting ;) I also want to print out some pictures too... seens as I have learnt how to take them off my phone :) So much to do and so little time!!!

This was prior to 'operation-scrap-tidy-up' which happened last week. Everything now is slightly more organised, note the slightly in that sentence. Such as it doesn't have a deo can on the side... ;) And I emptied a few more SC boxes, so my whole sheet and scraps sheet paper piles have grown radically.

These side bits need an over haul as I have many half finished projects in bags here that need/ought to be finished up... I just need a whole heap of time to be able to. Time, of course is in short supply!

And I think I want some baskets to fit in a couple of the holes, except it does drastically make those holes smaller... :( There are a heap of chipboard shapes and packets that could do with a big basket to be thrown into.

And I have emptied my cloth tesco bag too... It is on the whole alittle tidier... which is a good thing. And how do you organise alphas?? I have a huge pile which I have to sift through each time... is there an easier way to organise them? I also have a bar and some jars and hanging things to go above but Kev hasn't got round to putting it up yet, I may try myself but i'm not too handy with a drill :lol:

Today, We nipped to Shoebury again. We had an ok time. Ben is just alittle hard work right now that i'm inclined to stay in the whole time until it passes :D Even a chap walking his dogs commented on how I had my hands full. It made me laugh. Yes, I do but sometimes he is just so hillarious... like how he 'weeps' and makes his Bert the Guinea pig noise. *very cute*

Also Kev has agreed to fund my March GoGo retreat :D I am not sure who is going but I will enjoy it all the same. I cannot wait...! I have debated over going to a retreat but having time away from the kids/work is hard. But anyhoo this will be fantastic!

I made time for a classic Shameless last night, how bloomin gorgeous is Jamie?? *yum* and while scrapping and watching tv and drinking rose cider *yum yum* the adverts came on UGLY BETTY is back!!! Whoo hoo, on the 24th of June... another thing I am looking forward too!

Right, off to tidy up as the house has been neglected as we have been out for much of the day... we also have half of the beach on the rug in the lounge...

Time seems to be in short supply lately. I worked a day less last week (and this, although I am going into work on Wednesday night) but I still only managed to blog once and scrap very little. I have no idea where the time goes atm?!

I had good news on Friday from here about a design team place! I am now officially a member of the Sugar and Spice design team. Whoo hoo!!! I am pretty excited :) We have a meeting on Wednesday night (over cake!) and a good old natter ;) Along with me are Nina, Paula, Sam, Jayne, Louise, Nicki and Nicola. Congrats ladies!! And see you on Wednesday night (apart from the talented Nicola, where Cheshire is alittle too far to travel for a night). I have to admit I did use my stamps last night and will defo be using them again tonight too :D

Well, last week I spent the whole time tidying up. Seriously!! I spent the time on the phone sorting out all those niggling queries/bills/jobs eg. on hold for hours at a time!, ironing (like the whole contents of the kiddos drawers which has been ironed as needed for the past month or so as I have been so busy)our room is clothes free for the moment), tidying up the garden and my scrap space, cleaning up the lounge and bedrooms and bathrooms... and every other left/boring job going. There is still a heap to go. I think peeps don't always realise and think I have unlimited free time to do things for them... I hate the comments about why I haven't done something and feeling I have to justify myself. I think whoa! Life is busy the whole time for me and give me a break :D It makes me angry too how sometimes peeps feel I should prioritise them over other things in my life ;) So this weekend I left no washing to be done and no ironing at all, Today I did a whole basket of ironing which had been washed and dried by Kev the weekend :) I am happy that some peeps listen to me!

After tidying my scrap space up... I found a heap of projects that had been started an age ago and not finished... these were some of them that I kinda finished up... its hard because of the method I use scrapping... just stick down as I go... none of this laying out and rearranging... so they don't work maybe as weel as if I had finished them when I started them...

I love this font though... and I love the american crafts letter sticker books.....

This one is such an oldie... when we lived in Derbyshire Twycross Zoo was just down the road... and they have so many chimps/monkeys/apes there. I think the PG tips chimps actually came/went to here. We took Em when she was a baby and lived in this baby bjorn sling... and I remembered seeing this photograph how much I loved this pink duffle coat she had. I loved it so much I brought the next size up too... so she didn't grow out of it so quickly ;)

A very simple LO doucmenting this month for me (she I am pretty busy!) and how obsessional I am over calendars and diaries.

So .... I have had a busy past week. I have a busy week this one too. Emily has her first ever 'big-school' visit and stay/play hour and I am still waiting for my SC kit... right now though i'm off to get a few more jobs done!
