Lazy Monday Afternoons...

I am still having to use my flash, even though this was taken at 3pm this afternoon. I can't believe how little light there is today. And how icy it is out. The snow has turned completely to ice and now the little jitty's to Emilys school are like skating rinks... ;)

Here, as promised is the little book I am working on atm. Papers and supplies partly taken from the Dec SoML kit and Studio Calico kit and then a few of my own goodies thrown in :) The cute brass charm was from etsy... and there are hundreds of diff sorts if you have the time to search i'm sure there are a few 100 that might take your fancy.
Have any of you made any resolutions this year? I am making goals. I plan to loose more weight. After shedding a stone last year and so far (although I haven't weighed myself in a while) have kept it off and plan to do the same again this year. It will probably be another slim fast blitz. I know that in 3 or so weeks I can loose a stone, ideally I need to loose more than a stone tho ;) but it's a start and a goal for 2009. Another few goals are to try to keep to deadlines I set myself, decorate Emily's bedroom, redecorate the lounge, finally organise and tidy my scrapping supplies *lol* and use more of my stash rather than collect it!!! Another goal would be to get onto a DT of some sort... but who knows whats round the corner??

Back to normality...

... Today Kev went back to work and i'm at home with our two littlies :) Emily goes back to school this afternoon and everyone is happy. I got a lie in this morning, until a very lovely hour of 8:20am... which is far better than the past 9 mornings when i've braved the ice and been out of the house at 6am.

Yesterday work was as stressful as ever. No one is organised in there. No one is bothered about anyone else but themselves. I had a pretty hard day yesterday with one thing and another, I am sure that anyone who works mainly with the elderly realise that the majority of their families don't actually care for them. Yesterday it hit home. I shed tears, which is the first time that i've acually had a 'moment' there. Still I have a whole 6 days away from the place to recharge and gather myself together.

On Friday I start back at Sugar and Spice and it can't come around quick enough! I have two classes to put to Marion and then to make them up in the goodies from the shop.

I started on a '2009' book on Saturday night, inspired by Breanne Crawford (her journo'ing is just heart warming) and so will post pics later. I am going to fill it with goal and achievement goodness. 2009 is going to be a golden year and not like 2008 and all the stress that filled it. No more health problems and operations. No more realtionship issues. More friendships, more fun and more being happy. More doing things for me and my family and less worrying about what everyone else may think.

AND 33 days til I go away on a scrapping hol!!!!!

*Yawn*

I feel like bagpuss. Even Emily asked me if i'd like to hibernate. I am just soooo tired. I am also bloomin' freezing!!! When does the weather start to get warmer???

Today we went over to Kevy's parents house as his dad was celebrating his 81st birthday :) Happy Birthday Cyril... As Emily said 'Happy Birthday Stinky Bum'! So we spent to mid-morning and early afternoon with them and Em and Ben's cousin Eloise. It was cut short by a certain little boy who needed a nap but just wasn't willing to give in at his Nans. Routines are all well and good but sometimes, I just wish they were more flexible. I too had a nap in the car on the way home too and am now feeling ever so slightly more refreshed ;)
This was Emily just before Crimbo, dressed for her school Crimbo concert... I can't tell you how happy and excited she was!

And Ben felt he should be able to dress up too... So he toddled around in Snow White's headband for the night.... (matched wonderfully with pirate pj's! )

And lastly, this little mini. I made it a while ago... and have no idea what is going to fill it. I just love the cosmo cowboy papers. I have a whole heap of them and a heap of plastic sheriff badges too. I also think these tinkering ink albums are pretty neat ;) But along with the majority of my mini's this one will probably stay empty....But I do *wub* it!

Happy New Year :)

Happy New Year!!!
Today i've been busy working at L/C. Working hard and since 6:30am...! Last night I didn't even manage to see the new year in... except with a few zzzzzzz's. I was totally knackered last night and fell asleep with the lights on and tv and eveything. Only three more mornings at 5:20am :) :) :) I can't tell you how happy that makes me feel. ONLY 3 more early starts. I am well and truly counting my blessings that my two beautiful kiddos are late risers. Still my bank balance will be very healthy. And I can honestly say that apart from Monday morning... the rest of the time has been a breeze and tbh pretty non-stressful. I still have three days to go though so I won't hold my breath. Anyhow...
These are all the projects i've been working on lately...

(I have a whole heap of uploading to do ;) See, I hadn't fell of the face of the blogging earth)

This is my album, crammed full with 40+ LO's and I mean crammed. I love these albums but need a couple more at least. I love them far more than the post bound ones. Yes, they are pretty but with these I think you can add so much more, LO's sit better in them and or course... who doesn't love decorating them??!!

This was Ben on his first Christmas, back in 2006 *gasp* has it really been that long???

And these are just little peeks at things i've done... my fave bits from that bursting, full album! :)

This one is pretty poorly photographed... but I haven't seen much natural light today! You can't really get the full effect of the cute MM glitter letters.

But don't you just agree that he's fit? ;)

On that note... i'll leave you to drool... :) ha ha.

Hooray and Happy New Year!!!

A little card to celebrate a 'corking' birthday... stamping on cork is soooo cool!

How did you know I was gonna love this paper range???

And this quote just has me. I love it. Also am loving doodling and doodle-ey writing atm...
and of course watercolour with versa ink pads :) Its the cheapest LO to make,
Just 1 sheet of bazzill.

A belated Happy Crimbo!

Did you all have a good Crimbo??? I know we did. Too much food was eaten... ;) but it was fabby all the same. Santa brought me a nice new lap top and so blogging and piccies are back on. 'Cept it's soooo bloomin fancy it won't let me upload my piccies until I re-charge the battery *sigh* Technology is all good but sometimes alittle too clever... I only wanted a couple of pics off... :) So right now the battery is charging and i'm gonna add some stuff as soon as I can.

Tonight is new years and i'm working. With Kev off from teaching, I have been working day in and day out since Saturday. I'll finish on Sunday and I can honestly say, i'll be pooped. 5:20am every morning does NOT agree with me. The freezing cold frost is more than enough to make me happy i've got plenty of meat on my bones  I have been very happy working with Jodie though... she doesn't half make me smile.

On the crafting front... I have been making stuff...! Lots and lots and lots of stuff. And of course I went to Sugar and Spices PJ crop and finished 4 LO's... YES 4!!! Also me and a couple of friends have booked up a little cottage to go and stay in, in Feb... We will be scrapping the days and nights away. I am already thinking about the projects I want to finish/start and have a go at. I am going to order piccies too (usually I just print myself but it takes much longer than you ever think it will)... I have classes to design and put together for Sugar and Spice (!) I am defo doing another card class and a LO/mini :)

I have ordered my Studio Calico kit, after completely using my last main kit... I have yet to start the new calendar I got as an add on but I figure this afternoon would be a good time to start with it being the 31st of December. This year I plan to make the most of these beautiful kits after getting some very, very sad news in December... that Sara has decided to take a break from SoML kits :( Her stamps were just the best and the cutest. The kits were my all time fave and i'm absolutely miserable that I won't be having a kit in January. (and to boot she is one of the sweetest ladies) Still I ordered a healthy dose of Studio Calico this month and cannot wait until it arrives... I will be stalking the postie from next week until it arrives ;)

Right off to see if that camera battery has enough juice....

Life.

Just lately life has been extra busy. So busy infact, I haven't actually realised how busy it's been. You know when one week just goes into another and another and another. I have just been so busy.
And to make things busier... Crimbo is literally just around the corner. Do you know how busy things are going to get???!! Luckily because we had an early Crimbo with my sister and her three, I really haven't many gifts left to get. Just bits for friends, the rest of Bens and Kevs. The items that stress me most are wrapping paper *grr* long tubes + busy streets = stress :)
I have written mostly all of the cards we are going to send and so they need to be stamped/weighed and sent...
Emily has her first Crimbo concert next week :) :) :) She is very excited :) and i'm hoping that we are all over colds by then. I have work all weekend and after this weekend, I don't particulary look forward to it. Saturday at work was a very stressful 15 hours long. I was happy to be home though and not just because I was home but because I knew that I wasn't going back on Sunday ;)

And I have been making. I just need to upload. That is the story of my life.
