Trends.

Is the UK w-a-y behind any crafting trend going? In my opinion, yes. I got my copy of SI today. I love the new look they started last issue BUT my heart sinks each time I read stuff in there. It has stuff I have been using/thinking of for a long time, something over a year.

Like kawaii. Yum! So cute, so sweet, so super gorgeous BUT I have enough to set up my own kawaii shop. Stationary, stickers, cute plastic items... heaps of it.

Etsy. Double yum! I could spend (and do) hours just trawling through lot after lot. It is SOOO much more addictive than any other site I know (and I have a secret love of any cowboy/western type-y things!) BUT I think everyone must know about esty by now... yes??

Matroyshka. Tripple yum! I noticed than Anite Mundt is doing a mini book for the next issue in this 'style'. I know I love little Russian Dollies they are just super cute too. But I know there are a heap of these classe out there...

Here is my little 'in progress' book that i'm working on at the mo.. That Sara had already done a class in at Scrapbowl (I think Tia Bennett?) And these little beauties have been around forever on etsy too...

So are we behind the times? Yes. It's not that I don't like seeing them in mags but I kinda feel cheated when they sell them off as *new*...

And tonight I have a great scrapping buddy coming over to, well... yes scrap so tonight i'm planning on a good deal of scrapping being done (ha ha...you mean chatting...)
